We had a 7% acceptance rate (65/922).

Of those accepted in 2023, we ask them to fill out a demographic form. Not everyone fills it out, but here are some of the results. 75 people filled out our survey, because we started collecting this information in May, 2023, and emailed back authors asking them to fill out the form.
If you want to the very short summary, our authors are typically female, first time published, heterosexual, white, from the United States, with an advanced degree, but that’s just on average, and we are always looking to publish diverse voices.

*Here is a link to our post in May, 2023 when we tried to backfill our author demographics to date. It appears our writers are becoming more diverse over time with more female authors, more LGBTQ authors, and more authors of color.
