We Are Now On Substack!
After Dinner Conversation on Substack
Are Things Changing With After Dinner Conversation?
Okay, so first, nothing is changing with After Dinner Conversation. We still have our website, we still have our print magazine, and we still have our digital magazine that comes out as a .pdf, .epub, and .mobi file emailed to you on the first of the month. And you can still subscribe to each of these on our website. If you are a paid subscriber through our website, nothing is changing.
Then What The Heck Is This?!?
Over the last six months we have been trying to find better ways to get readers lower points of entry to read our philosophy ethics short story fiction and be a part of the discussions. Substack is a growing platform designed for this very thing! You’ll be able to read short stories via email, or through the Substack app.
So You Are Giving Your Content Away?
Yes. At least, some of our content from years past. If you are already a magazine subscriber through our website, these stories will look familiar…
Of course, our hope is you’ll read the stories we send you, and want to get deeper into our ecosystem by contributing to the story discussions online and maybe throwing a few bucks our way each month. Because, you know…we like to be able to pay our writers. You’ll be able to subscribe via Substack, or via our website.
So, What Do I Get If I Pay?
If you are willing to pay just $5/month (or $49.95/year) via Substack you’ll get the following…
Weekly short stories from our monthly magazine
Access to our complete short story Substack archive
Post comments and join the short story discussions on Substack
Or, if you want to be extra fancy, you can be a “Founding Member” for $144.95/year and have a print copy of our monthly magazine sent directly to your house.
Do You Have A Referral Program?
Indeed we do! By referring us to a friend, you can earn your own paid Substack subscription.
But, Even If I Don’t Pay, I Get Free Stories?
Yes. Every other week.
How Do I Submit My Writing To The Magazine?
Same as always, submit through our website!
Your Promised Me A Free Short Story, Where Is It?
We will be sending it out in the next hour. It is called, “On Good Authority” written by Peri Dwyer Worrell. It first appeared in our July, 2020 issue.
