2024 Themed "After Dinner Conversation" Books Selected!
2024 Themed "After Dinner Conversation" Books Selected!
The why of “After Dinner Conversation” is our belief that “truth is discovered through intentional reflection and respectful debate.” The way we do that is through our monthly short story magazine, books, and podcasts. So, when we get an email from a high school teacher or college processor asking to use our stories in their classroom to encourage discussions, we get all giddy inside.
To that end, we decided 2024 was going to be the year we started putting out themed books of short stories so teachers could have students buy the book and use it as part of their classroom reading assignments.
Given that over 40% of our paid subscribers have a PhD, we thought the best way to figure this all out was to put out a request for themed book proposals from our readers. And they delivered! We got loads of great suggestions for themed books from people wanting to be guest editors. We evaluated all the proposals. We are proud to announce our “subject to change” list of themed books for 2024.
Technology - Assembled by Deborah Serra (January, 2024 Release)
Crime & Punishment - Assembled by Kolby Granville (March, 2024 Release)

We are also considering adding themed books on “Business Ethics, “Government Policy” and “Examining Our Past/Memories/History” in 2024. We may even be willing to add other themed books if we get a great proposal. We might also move up release dates…
If you are a reader and fan of “After Dinner Conversation,” feel free to send us a themed book proposal. All the better if you are teacher/professor and know this is the type of book you would use in your classroom!
