Join the After Dinner Conversation Board

Join Our Board

After Dinner Conversation is establishing its inaugural CAPACITY-BUILDING BOARD and inviting 2-4 volunteer board members through a public call. This will complete our initial request, totaling 6-8 board members, who will collaborate to help us achieve fiscal sustainability.

About Us:

Founded in 2019, independent and focused on developing thoughtful conversations. After Dinner Conversation is an independent, nonprofit, literary magazine that focuses on short story fiction that encourages philosophical and ethical discussions with friends, family, and students. We believe humanity is improved by values grounded in truth discovered through intentional reflection and respectful debate.

Founded in 2019, we have grown considerably over the last five years, from a small project publishing short digital stories on Amazon, to an award-winning nonprofit publishing a monthly print and digital magazine, two podcasts, a Substack, a ten new books a year. We sort through and select short stories from over 1,000 submissions a year and are available digitally on every major platform and most digital libraries.

On January 1, 2023, After Dinner Conversation became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This allows donors to make tax-deductible donations to support our work and makes us eligible to apply for grants! We have already applied for, and were granted, a Google Ads grant of $10,000 a month.
