Free Sample Philosophy Ethics Short Story Fiction Books For Educators
Free Sample Philosophy Ethics Short Story Fiction Books For Educators
Imagine if Kurt Vonnegut wrote a short story version of “The Allegory of the Cave” or “The Myth of Sisyphus.”
“After Dinner Conversation” (non-profit publisher) just received an education-focused donation so we could provide free sample copies of our books to educators.
Think of it as accessible short story fiction to use as a springboard (or icebreaker) to get your students talking about the practical application of philosophical concepts. In fact, we even have a story in the next issue of “Philosophy Now.”
What’s the catch? Nothing. Just DM or email me (editor@afterdinnerconversation.com) and I’ll send you the themed book of your choice. No strings attached. You are welcome to make copies of an individual story to pass out to students, or have students order a copy of the book, both are fine by us.
While our focus is the monthly magazine, the offer is for one of our anthologies of ten themed short stories. They are (1) Technology Ethics, (2) Crimes & Punishments, (3) Bioethics, (4) Nature of Reality, (5) Equality Ethics, (6) Research Ethics, (7) Government/Governance Ethics, ( Business Ethics, (9) Examining The Past. We also have a “Best of 2023” if you would prefer a mix of stories.
Given the nature of the donation we can only send a complimentary copy to those teaching at the University or Secondary level. Happy to ship overseas. The grant has given us 100 copies to give away.

I should also mention, the grant covers shipping as well. So, it's an actual free offer, not a sort of free offer. If you want to check out the stories in each book, they are listed on our webpage here. https://www.afterdinnerconversation.com/2024books
