"FAST PASS" Price Increase to $20

Effective, immediately, we have raised the cost of our FAST PASS submissions to $20. While our normal response time is 6-8 weeks, a Fast Pass submission “skips the line” and is the next thing we read. Your story doesn’t get special consideration, but it will be the next thing we read. Typically, you’ll hear back from us in 1-3 days on a Fast Pass submission.

Why are we raising the price? The reason is simple, too many people are using our Fast Pass submission process. Our goal is to have 5-7 Fast Pass submissions a month. Right now we are getting 25-30 per month. It’s too much! So, we are going to keep raising the price until the number of people who use the service drops to a more manageable number. We think this will be our last price increase as the increases have finally started to slow down the number of people paying for the service to a manageable number.

Of course, you can always submit for free, and we encourage you to do so. We very much believe submissions should be free. Don’t feel you have to submit via our Fast Pass. You don’t. You really don’t. Do whatever works for you. The main thing is that you send us good stuff that is a good fit for the magazine.
